Bio

Shane LaVelle was born in 2001 and grew up in Chaska, MN. He graduated from Breakaway Academy in 2016. After attending Breakaway Academy, he went on to play high school hockey for Chaska. Shane wore the “C” for Chaska High School the 2019-20 season. During his junior year, LaVelle was drafted by the USHL Madison Capitols where he played in unison with Chaska during the 2018-20 seasons. He then graduated high school in 2020 and was drafted by the Canadian AJHL Spruce Grove Saints for the 2020-21 season. During the same season, LaVelle’s rights were traded to the BCHL Coquitlam Express and then the Cowichan Valley Capitals. After playing in Canada, Shane committed to play Division I hockey at Lindenwood University. LaVelle is currently playing as a Forward for the Lions.
