Goalie Training Program
Our goalie training program aims to develop and improve a goalie’s skills in a challenging and competitive environment. The weekly 60-minute sessions ensure a steady regiment of top-notch training while allowing goalies to enjoy their summer and get refueled for the winter season.
This program specializes in mastering and refining mobility, strength and stability at low angles with extra emphasis on lateral and diagonal power. We also focus on fundamental techniques such as goalie stance, movement, shot preparation, save selection, post play, on-ice mobility, puck handling, and game situations.

Expert Coaching
The Goalie Training program is led by top coach David Zevnik.

David Zevnik won three state titles for St. Thomas Academy and played two seasons in the NAHL before suiting up for St. Cloud State University. He has been coaching since 2014 and is currently the lead on-ice goalie coach at Breakaway Academy.
His coaching philosophy goes beyond the basics of goaltending. While David focuses on refining skills and mastering fundamentals, he also places a significant emphasis on the mental aspect of the game. This holistic approach to coaching ensures that goalies are not only technically proficient but also mentally resilient, a valuable asset that serves well on and off the ice.
