We’re honored to welcome notable Breakaway Academy alumni guest speakers and special guests from the 2023/24 Minnesota Gophers Men’s Hockey Team. Hear firsthand from former students who embody the character traits instilled at Breakaway Academy as they share excerpts from their “I Am Breakaway” 8th grade speeches.  You’ll also get to hear the Golden Gophers’ favorite memories from their time as students at Breakaway Academy and cheer them on in Minute to Win It challenges!

But, that’s just the beginning!  Enjoy dinner and drinks, fundraising games and activities, live and silent auctions with thoughtfully curated items, music, and dancing.

With a new name and a new date (was previously April 20th), our premier fundraising event aims not only to raise funds but also to strengthen the bonds within the Breakaway Academy family and community.

Our goal this year is to raise $100,000.  We have worked with those closest to your children – their teachers and coaches to identify areas to allocate funds.  Our PURPOSE for 2024 is targeted at technology, specifically touchscreen smart display monitors in each classroom, to upgrade how lessons are presented to students.

We also hope to continue providing all the great field trip opportunities and special student events and keeping the BA Store open. Additionally, with your support, we plan to expand our service-learning projects to include K-3 and enhance what is in place for grades 4-8.

Our biggest fundraising event of the year promises to be a first-class, kid-free night for parents and friends of Breakaway Academy.

Our Mission

The Breakaway Foundation’s mission is to support, fundraise, and distribute funds that enhance the experience of Breakaway Academy’s community and its student-athletes. When you donate to the Breakaway Foundation, your financial support enhances the school’s facilities, curriculum, classrooms, and athletic experience.

Past donations supported the purchase of student cubbies and storage units, academic supplies like library books, maps, and science equipment, gym and athletic equipment, field trips and events for students and parents, BA Store refresh, and service-learning projects.

You can make an impact at the Party with a Purpose by purchasing event tickets or a table, becoming a sponsor, participating in our live and silent auctions, making a donation, or volunteering.  Watch for more info on how to get involved.

All proceeds from this event benefit the student experience at Breakaway Academy.
