I have lived in Chaska for five years. Previously, I lived in Ogden, Utah, for 14 years and Tinley Park, IL, for 18 years. My husband, David, and I have been married for 11 years, and we have 3 children. Their names are Zeek (8), Mya (6), and Hank (3). I love to exercise, be crafty, cheer on my kids and Chicago sports, thrift, camp, visit National Parks and play sports any chance I can.
What do you like most about BA?
What I like most about BA is how the small class sizes allow more opportunities to build relationships with the students. I appreciate how supportive the staff and administration are of each other. We all have the same goal of helping these young students be the best version of themselves.
Why did you get into education?
I got into education to make a positive impact on young children’s lives. I want them to take away things I teach them and use them in the real world.
Which coach or teacher had the biggest impact on your life and why?
The teacher that had the biggest impact on me was Mrs. Voss. She was a 7th and 8th-grade physical education teacher. She was always so positive, happy and expected us to try our best while having fun.
What is the best advice you can give students at BA?
My advice for students at BA would be to work hard and use manners, whether someone is watching you or not.
Be positive, smile, have fun, stay fit, and drink water.
