I live with my husband, twin boys, and our dog, Teddy. I love traveling, spending time at the lake, and hanging out with family and friends.
What do you like most about BA?
I love the culture at Breakaway Academy and that students thrive on competition, which carries over to the classroom. I also love that its core values include good nutrition and good character, which is unique in a school environment.
Why did you get into education?
A twist in family circumstances led me to education, allowing me to be present for my kids and simultaneously doing meaningful work. However, “teaching or marketing” was what I said in an interview my senior year of high school when asked what I wanted to do as an adult. I am grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to do both.
What is your best advice for students at BA?
Enjoy this unique experience at Breakaway Academy and never stop advocating for yourself. You can do anything you set your mind to – including loving to read!
What is your teaching experience?
7th grade teacher at BA starting in 2023.
