I love spending my days outdoors and at our cabin in Outing, MN. I love teaching young children and have been working with primary students for the past 20 years.

What do you like most about BA?
I love the flexibility that BA allows the teachers to have. We have an ideal class size. I can see when one student may be struggling on a certain topic while another may need more of a challenge. The best part of BA is that students in the primary grades are always active. I strongly feel this impacts their academic growth and sets them up to be lifelong active learners in the community and throughout life.

Which coach or teacher had the biggest impact on your life and why?
My high school track coach. He taught me to set goals that are reachable & to strive for my personal bests. It is ok to make mistakes. That is how we learn. He taught me to be a team player and be generous to others along my life journey. Last, he was a big advocate to keep my dreams alive as I set out to become an endurance athlete and marathon runner over the past 20 years. He was one of my biggest supporters and lifelong teachers.

What is the best advice you can give students at BA?
Always give your best effort in academics & sports. It is important to ask for help from your teachers and coaches when you need it. Set achievable goals, and always strive to be the best version of yourself.
