The Goal of Performance Training
The goal with any performance training program is long-term athletic development. We start our training at a young age, beginning with sound movement patterns. We then shift our focus to building strength, speed, and power to aid in performance of the athlete’s sport. Performance training is key to any athlete looking to enhance and bring their game to the next level.
Our supplemental performance training programs are open to any athlete age 4th grade and up in the 2023/24 school year. Athletes do not need to be students at Breakaway Academy to participate.
Performance Training
Program Format
2023/24 incoming 7th grade athletes and up
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 – 10:15 am
Session 1 (6/13 thru 7/13. No class 7/4 and 7/6)
Session 2 (7/18 thru 8/10)
Small group format limited to 12 athletes
$200 per session (8 total classes)
Key Benefits
Build strength and power through fundamental weight training, plyometrics, and functional movements.
Each athlete will be given individual direction to continue advancing through progressions.
Athletes will learn how good movement patterns and habits are vital for long-term success, as well as injury-prevention/reduction tactics.

Speed Training

Key Benefits
Each athlete will complete the same program that will progress in movements from session to session.
Focus on acceleration, overspeed, underspeed, and SCC Training.
Athletes will also receive mobility training at the end of each session.

$125 per session (8 total classes)
Key Benefits
Introduction to safe weight training, along with speed and power development.
Long term athletic development with an emphasis on agility, balance, and control.
Develop patterns of movement and an understanding of spatial awareness.
